Step 1: Think in “rooms”, not boxes
The easiest way to estimate your storage size is to think in rooms:
- Are you storing just a few boxes and suitcases?
- A 1-bedroom apartment?
- A family home with a garage?
- Business stock or equipment?
Once you know roughly how many rooms’ worth of stuff you’re storing, choosing a size becomes much easier.
X-Small Unit (≈3.5 m²) – “Extra cupboard”

Approx. size: 2.95 m x 1.19 m
Great for:
- 10–20 medium boxes
- Suitcases and travel bags
- Seasonal clothing and bedding
- Sports equipment (skis, snowboards, camping gear)
- A few small items of furniture (chairs, bedside tables)
Think of the X-Small as an extra walk-in cupboard. It’s perfect if you live in an apartment and just need to free up some wardrobe or balcony space.
Typical customers:
- Students between semesters
- Expats who leave Georgia for a few months
- Families wanting to rotate winter/summer gear
Small Unit (≈6.15 m²) – “Studio apartment contents”

Approx. size: 4.10 m x 1.50 m
Ideal for the contents of a small studio or 1-room apartment, such as:
- A double bed and mattress
- Small sofa or armchairs
- TV and TV stand
- Boxes, suitcases and kitchen items
- Shelving units, bikes or baby gear
If you’re moving, renovating or turning a spare room into an office or guest room, a Small unit is a very popular choice.
Medium Unit (≈6.99 m²) – “1–2 bedroom apartment”

Approx. size: 2.95 m x 2.37 m
The Medium unit comfortably fits the contents of a typical 1–2 bedroom apartment, for example:
- Beds and mattresses
- Wardrobes, chests of drawers
- Dining table and chairs
- Sofa, coffee table, TV and appliances
- Lots of boxes and seasonal items
If you’re not sure between Small and Medium, think about how many large furniture pieces you have. More than one bed and a sofa? Medium is usually the safer bet.
Large Unit (≈13.98 m²) – “Family home or business stock”

Approx. size: 5.90 m x 2.37 m
A Large unit is a great choice for:
- Contents of a larger apartment or small family home
- Furniture from 3+ rooms plus garage contents
- AirBnB/holiday rental furniture and appliances
- Business stock, shelving and archive boxes
You can think of this size as a single garage in terms of floor area. It gives you enough space to walk between items if you pack smartly, which is useful if you’ll access things regularly.
X-Large Unit (≈17.11 m²) – “Big house, vehicle or serious storage”

Approx. size: 5.90 m x 2.90 m
Choose an X-Large unit if:
- You’re storing the contents of a larger house
- You have lots of bulky furniture (large wardrobes, corner sofas, big tables)
- You’re a business with significant inventory or equipment
- You want space to create clear aisles and access items often
- You want to store a vehicle – many standard cars will comfortably fit inside this unit size (if you have a very large SUV or van, just check with us first)
This size is also popular with expats and families between homes who need to store almost everything for a few months.
Step 2: Consider how often you’ll visit your unit
If you plan to visit frequently (for example, to access stock or swap seasonal gear), it can be worth going one size upso you can:
- Leave small walkways between items
- Keep commonly used items at the front
- Avoid having to unpack half the unit to reach one box
If you’re storing items long-term and won’t visit often, you can pack more tightly and may be able to choose a smaller unit.
Step 3: Pack smart to save space
Whatever size you choose, smart packing can save you money:
- Use same-size boxes so they stack neatly.
- Dismantle beds, tables and shelving where possible.
- Store smaller boxes inside wardrobes, cupboards and drawers.
- Put light items like bedding on top of heavier boxes.
- Keep seasonal or high-use items near the front of the unit.
We’re happy to give you quick packing tips when you move in.
