Rental Agreement Overview

This page is meant to explain, in simple language, what you agree to when you rent a storage unit at Self-Storage Georgia. It is not a full legal contract, but a guide to help you understand the key points.

1. How renting a unit works – step by step

  1. Visit or contact us
    • Call, WhatsApp or email us to discuss your storage needs, or visit our facility in Tbilisi to see the units in person.
  2. Choose your unit size
    • We offer X-Small, Small, Medium, Large and X-Large units, starting from $69 per month (prices subject to change and may be shown in local currency).
    • We help you choose the size that fits your belongings and budget.
  3. Provide your details
    • We’ll ask for basic information such as your name, contact details and ID/passport, and we’ll explain our standard terms.
  4. Sign the storage agreement
    • You sign a straightforward agreement that sets out the rental period, fees, access rules, what can and cannot be stored, and how to end the agreement.
  5. Move in and lock your unit
    • Bring your belongings, pack your unit the way you like it and secure it with your own lock.
    • You keep the key – only you (or people you authorise) can access your unit.
  6. Enjoy extra space
    • Access your unit during our normal access hours (09:00–20:00, 7 days a week).
    • Continue month to month for as long as you need the space.

2. Key parts of the agreement – in plain language

Minimum rental period

  • The minimum rental period is 1 month.
  • After that, you continue on a monthly basis until you choose to leave or we end the agreement according to the terms.

Payment

  • Rent is paid monthly in advance.
  • Your monthly fee depends on the size of your unit and our current price list.
  • If payment is late, late fees may apply and access to your unit may be temporarily suspended until payment is up to date.

Access and security

  • You can visit your unit during normal access hours (currently 09:00–20:00).
  • Our facility includes CCTV, gated access and on-site staff to help protect the site.
  • You are responsible for keeping your key or access code safe and for locking your unit properly.

What you can store

You can use your unit for:

  • Household items such as furniture, boxes, clothing and personal belongings
  • Business items such as stock, documents and equipment
  • Seasonal items such as sports gear or holiday decorations
  • Certain vehicles or equipment, depending on size and unit type (please ask us first)

What you cannot store

For safety and legal reasons, you must not store:

  • Illegal items or stolen goods
  • Firearms, weapons, ammunition or explosives
  • Petrol, gas bottles or other flammable or combustible materials
  • Hazardous chemicals or toxic substances
  • Perishable food, animals or any living creatures
  • Anything that could cause a smell, leak, infestation, fire or other damage

We will explain this list to you when you sign and it is included in the written agreement.

Insurance

  • Your monthly fee does not automatically include insurance for your goods.
  • We strongly recommend that you arrange your own insurance or check whether your existing policy can cover items in storage.

Ending the agreement

    • After the minimum 1-month period, you can end the agreement by giving us reasonable notice (1 calendar month).
    • On your move-out date, you remove your belongings, leave the unit clean and return any access cards that belong to us.
    • If you leave items behind, we may treat them as abandoned and deal with them according to the agreement and applicable law
